About
Hello! I'm a self-taught, Seattle-based artist currently working with digital illustration. My roots are in pencils and micron pens, I also occasionally work with watercolor and copic markers.
I see and use art as a therapeutic form of introspection and expression. Many of my pieces evoke raw emotions that tell my story - one of an individual struggling to find peace within themselves and the uncertain world around them. Nestled amongst what might seem like ordinary backgrounds and portraits are traces of things gone slightly awry, blood splatters and bandages, piercing stares and scars, things not being what they seem.
For me, creating has been an invaluable tool which has allowed me to endure, cope with, and heal from struggles that I experience. I hope that in sharing my art, I can open a dialogue about mental health and encourage others to experiment with how art and creativity can play a healing role in their lives as well.
